Why we started
Finding someone reliable to fix a leak, rewire a socket or service a car still runs on luck. You ask a neighbour, you get a number from a WhatsApp group, and you hope the person shows up and does the job properly. Sometimes they do. Sometimes you pay up front and never hear from them again.
The same system fails the professionals. Someone can do excellent work for a decade and still have no way to prove it to a customer who has never met them, because their entire reputation lives in other people’s memories.
iKAG exists to make that trust explicit rather than accidental. We verify who people are, hold the payment until the work is done, and keep the whole exchange on record.
How we operate
iKAG is a platform, not a contractor. The professionals on iKAG are independent — they set their own prices and carry out the work themselves. Our job is the infrastructure around that.
Verify before anyone works
Every professional is identity verified and vetted before they can accept a job. Trust should not depend on who you happen to know.
Hold the money in the middle
Payment sits in escrow with iKAG until the customer confirms. It protects the customer from bad work and the professional from bad payers.
Keep a record worth trusting
Chat, agreed prices and transactions live in the app, so a disagreement is settled on evidence rather than two competing stories.
Where we operate
We are starting in Enugu and expanding across Nigeria as we grow. Building density in one city first is deliberate — a marketplace is only useful when there is genuinely someone nearby who can help.
